How to feed the Vietnamese pigs

The Vietnamese pigs, as well as other their relatives, are very unpretentious in food, but for them nevertheless there is the menu. It is caused by the special structure of their digestive system. 1. In the first days of life the pigs eat maternal milk. At this stage it is necessary to pay attention to some moments. 3. Gradual introduction of fertilizing can be carried out in a week after the birth of pigs (by this time they already have teeth), chalk, red clay, charcoal, that is those substances which are rich with calcium, phosphorus and iron have to be its part.

4. At ten-day age it is possible to add fried barley to food and to establish in a cage a drinking bowl with clear water, at the same time the weight of an animal should not be less than 1 kg. If quantity of pigs big, and you observe lag in growth at some individuals, then additional fertilizing and vitaminization by the medicine "Vetom" is necessary for them.

5. Introduction to their diet of thick porridge with addition of premixes, oat milk and the granulated starting compound feed "For Pigs of the First Days of Life" can be carried out after two weeks from the moment of the birth. During the same period it is necessary to give gradually and the vitamin forage consisting of squash, pumpkin, carrots and hay of bean herbs. During the summer period these pigs can eat generally vegetable food. Because of it they were also nicknamed — herbivorous pigs.

6. The amount of milk at a sow begins to decrease by the end of the first month, by this moment the pigs have to be able to eat independently. Excommunication from mother has to take place gradually, within 5-6 days, thereby it will be possible to avoid any diseases at a sow (for example, mastitis) and will not do physical and psychological harm to cubs. The weight of monthly pigs at observance of the above-stated order of feeding at this age has to be not less than 2.5 kilograms.

7. At final transfer of pigs to a forage it is necessary to study its structure very attentively. Its structure has to include 20% of protein, 5% of fat and cellulose, not less than 3%. Only at the correct diet you receive quality meat for which the Vietnamese pigs are famous.

8. From products which should not enter a diet of pigs it is possible to note food waste, bread, corn and oats as they provoke adjournment of excessive fat.
