You approach a cage when it is necessary to give a forage or to change water. You speak with the kid gently and quietly. You can sit a little near a cage, but do not touch an infant rat - still early.
4. In several days the kid will get used to you. He will cease to hide to the shelter at your approach, and hands which bear a forage will begin to attract genuine interest of it. Seize the moment and begin to tame the kid. For a start try to stroke it, tenderly calling by name. If the kid treats it calmly, iron him regularly. If the infant rat became agitated and rushed to the shelter – postpone domestication for several days.
5. To teach an infant rat to get on a hand, use delicacy. Put it not in a cage, and near it. The kid by all means will get out behind tasty.
