1. In transit small fishes on short distances only the suitable container is necessary for you. In pet-shop, dense packages, the special hermetically closed banks and boxes of various volume are on sale. The ratio of water and air in capacity can be from 1:1 to 1:3. Often in pet-shops can add instead of air oxygen, but in transit on small distances it not essentially. The most important in transit small fishes – not to subject them to temperature shock. The sharp temperature difference by 4 degrees in any party can become fatal. Therefore it is better to transport a container with small fishes in the bosom or in the heated transport in the winter, and in a heat – to protect from direct sunshine and to use the conditioned vehicle.
2. Long-distance transportation is much more difficult. In this case it is necessary as it is possible the smaller density of landing, and the ratio of water and gas in a container has to be at least 1:2 and air should be enriched with oxygen. For some species of fish it is possible to use pure oxygen. Before a long trip it is better not to feed them day as the full small fish consumes more oxygen, than hungry, and makes more than the waste products poisoning water. Do not worry, the hunger strike within several days to them will not damage. In this case, as well as in any other, recommendations about observance of temperature condition are also relevant.
3. Sometimes there are such situations that small fishes need to be transported on a long distance with a high density of landing. In this case their life completely depends on you as the oxygen reserve in capacity will end approximately in 4-5 hours. On the expiration of this term you need to untie a package / to open a container, to place there the spray of the compressor and to include it. You watch that the stream of air bubbles was not too strong, otherwise small fishes can be frightened and even to die from shock. At a long travel it is possible to take a break in aeration somewhere for 2 hours, or on 4-5 when pumping oxygen in capacity. It is very useful as it is impossible to leave unguarded the disclosed capacity with small fishes in moving transport.
