1. Replace a sick parrot in a separate cage to isolate him from healthy individuals. Remove a cage from a window, from the noisy room, protect from drafts. Temporarily forbid children to communicate with patient bird before survey of the veterinarian. Define cold symptoms — the parrot ruffled up, sneezes, shivers, he inflamed eyes, from nostrils there were allocations, mucous brightly red color. As soon as possible show a sick parrot to the veterinarian.
2. Carry out treatment by heat. Put near a cage an infrared or usual lamp in 60 Watts at distance of 20 — 30 cm from a bird. It is necessary to lift temperature to 30 — 35 wasps. Darken other part of a cage dense fabric that the parrot had an opportunity to pass into a shadow in case of overheating. Warm a bird about an hour on 3 — 5 times a day depending on a condition of the feathery pet.
3. Make a camomile and pour about 1 h a spoon in a feeder. Change water with a camomile each 4 hours. Or add to water several droplets of a lemon and honey for maintenance of forces.
4. Conduct a course of inhalations if cold at a budgerigar is followed by a severe cough, sneezing and heavy breath. Make 1 tablespoon of a camomile in a glass of boiled water. Or on 0.5 ml of oils of metol and an eucalyptus part in 70 ml of hot water. Put a drinking bowl with means near a cage and cover with a dense blanket. You carry out such procedure on 1 — 2 time a day about 15 minutes within 4 — 5 days. During inhalations you watch a condition of a bird. In case the parrot began wings, reduce time of the procedure and slightly open a blanket which spread a cage.
5. Part a penicillin bottle to the brim with warm boiled water. Give to the chilled parrot 2 drops of medicine 3 — 4 times a day within a week if you suspect an infection at a bird. Daily you part a new bottle with medicine.
6. You feed a budgerigar of a fruktovama and vegetables. Buy special vitamins for birds and give them to the pet according to the instruction.
