In all corners of our planet the people from an extreme antiquity struggle with the insects who are doing harm to the person and his economy, having negative impact on the surrounding nature.
In relation to the person classof insects conditionally is divided into three groups: harmful, indifferent and useful. But quite often harm or advantage of many insects depend on season and various conditions. For example, mosquitoes, annoying for people, render invaluable service to inhabitants of ponds and lakes: larvae of these insects – an important source of food for fish.
The harm done to the person and animals
Among a huge number of insects there is a lot of doing serious harm to the person and an animal. Very dangerous can be blood-sicking insects capable to transfer causative agents of various diseases. The ordinary fly who flew to human housing can bring on the pads such dangerous diseases as dysentery, cholera, a typhoid or eggs of ascarids. Everything the known tsetse fly is a serious enemy for living in tropics of the African continent: for the person its sting is not deadly, and here almost all pets quickly enough perish from it.
Numerous mosquitoes bring many troubles to the person, but the most dangerous among them – malarial. Dragonflies and insectivorous birds help to fight against mosquitoes to people. On coast of the rivers and in savannas of South America, mosquitoes which stings involve cruel tortures of people and animals meet. The sting of mosquitoes reminds the drop of the boiling oil which fell on skin, the victims of mosquitoes become absolutely unrecognizable. At a big congestion these insects get into ears, a nose, a mouth, eyes. Louses and fleas – the parasites who are also carriers of dangerous diseases (typhus and plague). Louses parasites usually meet at cows, pigs, and a flea – at dogs, birds, rats. The livestock production often suffers from gadflies and gadflies: the large number of these flying insects on pastures does not allow pets to eat normally, serves as the reason of decrease in yields of milk. Besides, larvae of some gadflies can get into internals and subsequently cause appearance of purulent tumors.
"Domestic" insects parasites
To live "in the neighbourhood" with parasites it is represented to very few people pleasant. Owners quite often should struggle with cockroaches, bugs, fleas, domestic ants. Big problems to the person are caused by red cockroaches. It is hard to get rid of Prussians as they are very prolific. The danger of these insects is that cockroaches are capable to transfer on themselves causative agents of dangerous diseases. Respect for elementary sanitary standards in the apartment will help to be exempted, along with necessary processing, from these unpleasant "neighbors". Food for bed bugs is blood of the person therefore they appear at the night and find "victim" from long distance on a smell. In the afternoon bugs hide in cracks, behind wall-paper, a ceiling and curtains. Besides troubles from stings, bugs are dangerous to the person as carriers of an infection therefore it is important to them to declare "war" immediately, perhaps even throwing out furniture or inviting experts. Fleas usually appear in the house from pets. Are dangerous to the person as carriers of viruses and microbes. Disinfection of rugs for animals, regularly maintained purity will save from presence of these insects. Can live also many other representatives of insects among whom in the dwelling of the person: domestic ants, mol, wood lice, different bugs. All of them also cause troubles to people, pets and plants.
