A large number of the monkeys living on Earth are omnivorous beings. Insects, Crustacea, seeds and fruits, berries, fruit, bird's eggs, leaves of trees, young escapes, and sometimes and a grass enter their food allowance.

Instruction

1. The biggest monkeys in the world are gorillas. But, despite the huge sizes, gorillas are the peaceful creations feeding on exclusively vegetable food. Feeding at gorillas happens generally on the earth as their dimensions do not allow these monkeys to wander on fragile branches of trees in search of food. These anthropoids eat much, and their massive jaws can mill even the firmest food – wood, bark of trees, roots and stalks of plants. These monkeys while away the lion's share of time behind a meal, eating tree ferns and lianas. The gorillas living in mountain areas eat bamboo escapes and a wild celery.

2. Other anthropoids are orangutans. It is one of two Asian genus of anthropoids (the second sort – gibbons). If to compare an orangutan to the African double – a gorilla, at the first external monkey lines are expressed much stronger. Orangutans with big pleasure regale on bananas, mango, plums, figs and other tropical fruit. The improbable force and amazing dexterity allows these monkeys to submit in search of food even the highest trees as fruits on them are much more tasty.

3. Monkeys are omnivorous beings too, however give the preference to fruit. They eat everything that can find in tropical forests. Seeds, roots, pitch, insects, mollusks, fish, cancroid, small reptiles (lizards), birds, small mammal (rodents) enter their food allowance. In other words, monkeys eat everything that is not poisonous, or everything that they can collect or catch.

4. The Japanese korotkokhvosty macaques eat only bark of trees, and Javanese long-tailed macaques with pleasure regales on sea food, in particular juicy crabmeat. By the way, this monkey sometimes and is called – macaques-kraboyed. The closest relative of the person, a chimpanzee, eats fruit, nuts, young and juicy leaves, and sometimes and fresh meat.

5. In general, the food allowance of monkeys is based, mostly, on ripe and sugary fruit, the easily digested parts of plants, juicy sprouts, cores of palm trees, flower buds, insects, nuts, and sometimes and on meat food. The fact is that the stomach at some primacies is not adapted for enzymatic digestion. For this reason constant consumption of the food rich with vegetable cellulose (leaves, a grass) can cause poisoning in some monkeys. But there are also such primacies at whom with it a full order, for example, colobuses have in the stomach "pockets" with bacteria which emit the corresponding enzymes.
