Animals in the house will teach your child to kindness, care and responsibility. After all there is a considerable risk of aggravation of allergic reactions or infection with some infectious disease. It is better to wait until the kid grows up.
Whom to choose?
For a start it is necessary to estimate your living conditions. The most suitable for any animal will be the private house. If you live in the apartment, then small breeds or types of animals will be the choice, optimum for you.
3-4 years will be suitable for children guinea pigs, rabbits, birds or aquarian fishes. These animals do not require training, constant attention and specific leaving. Besides and their contents will not bring upon parents a lot of trouble. At this age the child tries to learn the world around therefore you should not react too emotionally if the kid caught the small fish who was pleasant to it or let out a birdie from a cage. It is necessary to let quietly and softly know that so it is impossible to make and to explain the reasons.
5 summer child can already not just observe, but also partially look after the pet. You can charge to him to wash, for example, a bowl at a rabbit. Care for animals teaches the kid of responsibility. But it is worth controlling quality of the performed tasks nevertheless. And at their inadequate performance to point to the child to his mistakes, also explaining possible consequences (for example, badly washed up bowl can lead to a disease of the pet).
In 7-8 years the child already quite can independently look after an animal. And, if there are several animals, for example, a bird and a rodent, then it will be interesting to child to observe and compare their habits. As a rule, this age is ideal for acquisition of cats and dogs of small breeds. The child will care for an animal and in reply to receive attachment and caress.
In 14-15 years it is possible to get any animals. The child already adult and quite can independently train a dog of large breed, walk with it or take to film logical school.
Generally, it is possible to get pets and it is even necessary, but when choosing it should be taken into account age of the child and his aspiration to look after the pet.
