Fruit juice – the first "adult" product in a diet of the kid. Before he drank only mother's milk … About time of introduction of juice it is worth consulting to the children's doctor. To some children juice is recommended to give at the end of the fourth week of life, to others – from 3-4 months. However there are general rules of schooling of the kid to juice.

It is required to you

  • - juice extractor (or grater and gauze);
  • - fruit, vegetables, berries;
  • - water or syrup.

Instruction

1. Begin with juice of green apples which is easier digested and acquired. At first give several drops after feeding, next day – on a teaspoon half after two feedings, then – on a teaspoon after two feedings, etc., in 5-7 days having increased a portion to 5-6 teaspoons.

2. When the baby gets used to juice from apples, offer it juice from cherry or blackcurrant. Then it is necessary to enter juice from pear, plum, an apricot, pomegranate. Give drink in the first half of day and watch reaction of the kid; sometimes juice causes allergies. You dissolve sour and tart juice with boiled water. It is allowed to sweeten drink with sugar syrup a little.

3. Enter carrot, cabbage and beet juice. Then begin to give the mixed juice (only do not combine fruit and vegetables; an exception – juice from blackcurrant, suitable to everything). Choose drinks depending on a condition of the child: rich tannic substances juice (cherry, garnet, blackcurrant, bilberry) should be given to kids with an unstable chair; cabbage and beet juice are recommended to children who have locks.

4. Do not give grape juice: in it there is a lot of sugar and few vitamins. More carefully with carrot juice: yellowing of skin and an allergy is possible.

5. Later, entering fruit and vegetable purees, cottage cheese and porridges into the child's diet, do not forget about juice – do not stop giving them to the child. With berry juice it is possible even to mix those dishes which the kid eats not really willingly.
