For certain, you remember fascinating problems on genetics which had to be solved at school. You were offered to calculate transfer probability by inheritance of hair color and eyes. And everything was simply if mom and dad had identical color of eyes. But if one of them the blonde, and the second brunette, and with brown eyes, then result becomes unpredictable.

1. It is considered that genes of owners of dark color of eyes and hair are prepotent. So, at couple "the blonde with blue eyes – the brunette with brown" can easily be born the kid with brown eyes. And most often quite so also it happens. But there are also exceptions when wins against blue color of eyes similar cases, and the child inherits a fair hair.
2. If to compare a blue pigment with green, then in it to couple dominating is blue. Though the probability that the kid can have green eyes is not excluded. In percentage the difference is not so big.
3. In spite of the fact that your child is born with blue eyes, they can easily become brown within the first year of life. First, because, at least, one of parents is an owner of brown eyes. Secondly, even if both parents have blue eyes, and the child is born with brown are, most likely, a dominating genes of grandfathers (grandmothers) or great-grandmothers (great-grandfathers). In this case you should not be perplexed especially, trying to find out this phenomenon.
4. Color of eyes can sometimes turn out mixed. Such phenomenon is called heterochromia. At mixture of recessive and prepotent genes also such results can sometimes turn out. Refer to recessive signs just a fair hair and eyes, and all dark – to prepotent.
