Sterilization of milk – a way of heat treatment during which pathogenic microbes and bacteria perish. Because under the influence of high temperature not only harmful, but also many useful substances collapse, sterilization of breast milk needs to be carried out only in the presence of special indications, after consultations with doctors.
It is required to you
- - breast milk;
- - glass container;
- - the enameled pan;
- - towel.
Instruction
1. See doctors behind consultation on need of sterilization of your breast milk (the doctor will establish as far as it is necessary as temporary option) or uses of the decanted donor breast milk (at a shortcoming or lack of breast milk at mother). The decanted donor milk will be sterilized. Sterilization of breast milk is a last resort as at this procedure there is a destruction of useful substances: vitamins, minerals, prebiotics, enzymes, immunoglobulins. All these useful substances are necessary for the child for formation of immunity.
2. With need of sterilization of milk process capacity for sterilized milk (better if it is a glass container, but also special plastic small bottles for babies are possible).
3. Pour the decanted breast milk on small bottles from which subsequently you will feed the child.
4. Pour water into the enameled saucepan it is so much that the small bottle with milk comfortably stood in this saucepan and did not float.
5. Put a small bottle with milk in a saucepan, include a gas ring.
6. As soon as rough boiling begins, lower gas.
7. You keep small bottles with breast milk in the boiling water during five – eight minutes.
8. Switch off a gas ring.
9. By means of a towel carefully take out from the enameled saucepan a small bottle with the sterilized breast milk.
