The mathematics is the leading science which demands accuracy and attentiveness. To teach the kid her not to be afraid, correctly select tasks. The first classes have to have entertaining character completely to interest the child.

1. At first buy the child a normal ruler, handles, pencils and notebooks. Now pass to formation of small mathematical library. Place textbooks on mathematics in it, decisions to separate tasks, additional grants and collections of tasks. When choosing literature be guided by age of the child, by his general level of development and features of digestion of material.
2. When the preparatory stage is completed, pass to classes which should not last longer than thirty-forty minutes at the beginning. During them take a small break, every fifteen-twenty minutes. Breaks you carry out a fizkultminutok which will help the child to distract, vanish in a look. Do not make a pause too long as it completely will disorganize the kid.
3. For the first classes choose tasks in playful way as it will help to entice the pupil. Choose examples and charades to which any explaining drawing is attached. Also by all means illustrate all solvable examples and tasks to draw attention of the child, to include his imagination.
4. If the child solves simple problems with pleasure, pass to more difficult examples. At the beginning use the help of textbooks with ready decisions. Give to the pupil the chance to spot the correct course of the solution of a task or an example, and then choose for him a similar task. During the decision prompt to the kid, send the course of his thoughts to the correct course. At the same time surely comment on each action, explaining to the child why it is considered correct or wrong.
5. When the kid acquires the basic principles of work with examples or tasks, continue studies, but already in other course. Give to the child examples which he solves independently, explaining each step aloud. On the course of the decision adjust its mistakes, correct defects. Find more time for such classes – and through short time the kid will perfectly understand mathematics.
