1. At teenage age at boys the throat very strongly increases in sizes. As a result of it the thyroid cartilage is considerably pushed forward and forms a characteristic ledge, vocal chords are extended and become thicker. All this leads to the fact that the voice begins to sound approximately one octave below. During active growth of a throat the voice can behave is absolutely unpredictable. At this time it is desirable not to overstrain sheaves that not to injure them.
2. At girls the throat increases too, but is not as strong, as at boys. As a result, sharp changes in a voice practically do not happen. In the period of a voice mutation at girls insignificant aberrations are most often observed — the sound of a voice can go down or be shown hoarse sounding, small problems with diction which pretty fast pass in certain cases can be observed.
3. Similar changes in a voice are temporary therefore especially to worry that the voice sounds a little differently is not necessary. Gradually the voice returns to normal, becomes stronger and bright.
4. At teenage age all systems of an organism change, but they do it unevenly - something occurs quicker, something more slowly. Because of similar changes between guttural and respiratory bodies the coordination can be broken that leads to emergence of light hoarseness or excessively low sounding, at the same time at girls the voice does not begin "to jump" from an octave in an octave as it happens at boys.

6. Most often in the period of a mutation at girls the coloring of a voice changes. It can lose the sonority, get unpleasant creaking or dim shades. It causes special displeasure in girls who seriously are engaged in singing. If similar changes began to happen, it is desirable to reduce load of a voice, to reduce classes or at all to refuse them for a while. It will allow to keep the range and a timbre at the previous level.
