Get iron ingots slightly more difficult. You need a stone pick. It can be made on a workbench, having filled the top horizontal with cobble-stone blocks, and two thirds of the central vertical — normal sticks. Iron ore can be found lower than level 64 almost everywhere. The easiest to survey the top part of the next cave. This ore often is found near coal.
To receive iron ingots from ore, melt it into furnaces. Bake it is possible to make on a workbench, having filled all 8 extreme cages with cobble-stones then it it is possible to arrange in the location, comfortable for you. Open the furnace, having right-clicked on it, place suitable fuel in the lower cell (coal, a tree, a bucket with a lava), put iron ore in the top cell and wait several seconds until it is melted into ingots.
