Instruction
1. To change a nickname in the QIP program, follow these steps.
Start QIP, be authorized if that is required by your settings.
2. In a top panel of the opened QIP window, over the list of your friends, there are buttons managing the program. Press the extreme right button "Show / Change My Data".
3. Before you the Data window with the General tab selected in it opened. It is the main information which will be seen by users at once after add you to the contact list. It is number of your ICQ, a nickname, a name and your age. Pay attention that in a dialog box your interlocutor sees both your name, and a nickname. The nickname is highlighted directly in the message, before time and date of departure, and the name is specified in a top line of an open dialog box.
4. To change the nickname in ICQ (in the QIP program), in the open Data window select the Info tab. You will see windows with written there by a name and a nickname. Delete old information and enter new. Click "Save".
5. Nick's change in ICQ 7.
Open the ICQ 7 program. On a top panel select the Menu tab.
6. In the Menu window click the Profile tab. You will see the main information of your account.
7. In the top part of the Profile panel click on the link "Edit". You will see fields with your name, a surname, a nickname and the phone number (if you specified it).
8. Delete old information in the graph of Nikas and enter new. Click "OK".
9. For change of a nickname in the Miranda program open the Personal data menu ("Personal information" in some versions of the program). In the opened window there are your current data.
10. Make changes to a line of Nikas, click "Save".
