1. As an example WordPress blogging platform which has many pluses in addition to the free of charge will be used. Before editing any data, including content, it is necessary to pass to the administrative section in which there are all important tools.
2. For this purpose open a new tab of the browser, enter the address of the website and add a command "" / wp-admin"" without quotes (http://сайт.ру/wp-admin). On the loaded page with the heading Achtung it is necessary to click the only link. Now you are in the admin panel which is more simply called "admin panel".
3. All settings of the platform and in particular your website are in the Parameters block. Find this block in the left part of the current page and click on its heading. There will be a list of all attachments below. The necessary element is in the beginning, click a mouse on the line "General".
4. On the loaded General settings page pass to the Website Heading point. Select the text in this cell and replace it with the new name. Also do not forget about change of contents of other fields, for example, "The short description". After modification it is necessary to save them, for this purpose press the corresponding button in the lower part of the page.
5. For check of display of the new name of the website pass to the homepage. For this purpose transfer the cursor to the top strip of the menu and from a drop-down list select the Pass to the Website item.
6. If display of heading of the website is not provided initially, it is recommended to view the code of the page. For this purpose click the right button on the homepage and in a context menu select the Source code item. At the beginning of the document find the line beginning with the title tag — in this tag there is a name of the website. After viewing the source code the current document can be closed.
