ICQ – the convenient program for message exchange and media files among Internet users. Entering dichny data at registration of the account, we always want to protect this information from unauthorized use. With it we are helped by passwords to personal pages.
Instruction
1. Some users recommend to change regularly passwords on social networks and in ICQ to avoid a possibility of cracking of the account by strangers. Sometimes happens so that our acquaintances learned confidential data of the personal page: login and password. To avoid invasion into private life, change the password from the ICQ.
2. Be authorized in a system and open a main window of the ICQ program – where your contacts are written. Find the Menu button on a top panel of tools, click it. In the opened window select the column "Change the Password".
3. ICQ changes the password not in a window of the downloaded program, and on the server on the Internet. Your browser automatically should open the http://www.icq.com/ru page, the section "Changes of the Password".
4. In the respective field enter the current password to confirm that you also are the owner of the account.
5. In the following window enter the new password. Try to create the difficult password containing in itself a combination of letters of different registers (lowercase and uppercase letters), digits, punctuation marks and extra text signs. The password should include 6-8 characters. If you use letters, then transfer the keyboard to Latin layout. The your new password, the less threat of cracking of the account is more difficult.
6. Write the password in a notepad not to forget it. Duplicate the new password in the following window – to confirm the actions and to avoid errors and typos.
Click "Save".
7. If you forgot the password from ICQ, press the corresponding button on the authorization panel in a system. The program will open for you the Systems of Password Recovery page. You will need to specify data which you entered at registration – the e-mail address, a name and number of ICQ. Follow hints of a system, filling step by step, and create the new password for ICQ.
