Settings of networked PCs completely depend on their assignment and a way of creation of this network. It is very important to select correctly paarmetra of access to common network resources.
Instruction
1. If you use the router or the router for creation of a local area network, then turn off the DHCP function in settings of this network equipment. Usually this point is located in the WAN or LAN menu. It will give the chance to use the static IP addresses to your computers.
2. Open the control panel and select the Network and Internet menu. Now pass into the Network and Sharing Center menu. Find the Change of Parameters of the Adapter point and open it. Select an icon of the necessary network adapter and open its properties. Select the Internet Protocol of TCP/IP(v4) point and click "Properties".
3. In the first menu select a checkbox near the Use the Following IP Address parameter. Set value constantly of the address for this network interface card. Click "Ok" to save settings of this menu. It will allow to find this computer in network environment quickly.
4. Open the Change Additional Parameters of the General Access menu. Find the House or Working profile and expand the menu of its settings. In the very first menu activate the Include Network Detection point. It will allow to get access to the configured computer in a local area network. If the printer which should be used by other networked PCs is connected to this PC, then activate the Include the General Access to Files and Printers point.
5. Surely select the checkbox opposite to the Include the General Access parameter located in the General Access to Files and Folders submenu. It will allow you to create public directories which can be changed by all network users. Click "Save Changes" and reboot.
6. Perform similar tuning of other network PCs, using those parameters which are necessary for each specific computer.
