Sometimes PC users have a desire to install the own FTP server which purpose is to create access to downloading of any information. For implementation of this desire it is necessary to have necessary theoretical knowledge of network and filesharing and a certain software package.

Instruction
1. There is a set of the programs allowing to create the own ftp-server on your computer. GuildFTPd belongs to their number. Download it and install. Installation is quite simple and does not occupy a large number of time and knowledge. The main efforts will be necessary at setup. For transition to the panel of settings in the top part come into GuildFTPd optons where you will see several tabs categories. In category General there are main settings by the number of connections, port numbers, etc. Perform necessary tunings and you pass to the following category.
2. Select the Server tab where enter a name of future ftp-server, also do not forget to reduce value of the Log Level runner, having moved the slider more to the left, otherwise the volume occupied by the server will quickly increase. After that it is necessary to select a method of creation of the server. The GuildFTPd system such is that the user of future server should be carried to certain groups on the basis of which one type of the server from two possible will be created: - server on the basis of personal accounts; - server on the basis of an entrance to the necessary directory.
3. The first type of the server will approach if you organize a file server for acquaintances, at the same time for each user it will be possible to create the system of files. For this purpose create group, call it, and make the general access for the root directory. (Press the Add button and pass into the section Edit Path). After that create a user base, having passed on this path of Admin - Add User where it is necessary to enter logins and passwords of future users of the server.
4. After creation of this base organize a virtual file system for each user if it is necessary. For this purpose again we pass on the way of Add - Edit Path and we specify files and folders which will be available for a certain login. The second path of creation of a file server is much simpler. For this purpose create only one user in whose name field enter anonymous. Also do not forget to remove a tick from list value. After that add necessary file directories.
