1. It is possible to learn a socket of connection of the processor in two ways. The first way consists in direct opening of documentation to the computer and viewing the section "Motherboard". In this section there is also a socket of connection of the processor. Difficulties can arise if you bought already assembled computer. In such cases technical documentation on each component separately is not always issued.
2. If you do not have corresponding documentation and you cannot use the first way, then the second way precisely will suit all and will help to define a motherboard socket. Download the TuneUpUtilities application. The paid application, but in it is the trivial (trial) period of use (up to 15 days). Start it. Wait while the program scans a system. After scanning it will be offered to optimize the software and to correct errors. Agree, having clicked OK, it anyway will not prevent.
3. After scanning process you will be included in the main menu of the program. Pay attention to four sections which are in the top window of the started application. Select the section Fix provlems. The window with several points will appear. Select the Show system information item then the menu with parameters of all equipment connected to the computer will appear.
4. In this menu select the System devices tab. The window with parameters of the motherboard and processor will appear. Find the Socket point. To the right of this point will also be there is information on a socket which equipped the computer motherboard and also BIOS version and the last date of its update. In some versions of the TuneUpUtilities program there can also be information on processor models which approach such type of a socket and the motherboard.
