All modern browsers have the cache allowing to save some elements of the visited pages. At repeated visit of a resource these elements undertake from a cache that saves traffic and does loading of pages by faster. If the cache in settings of the browser is disconnected, it needs to be included.
Instruction
1. If you work with Internet Explorer, for viewing settings of a cache open: "Service" - "Internet Options" - "General". In the section "Temporary Files of the Internet" click "Parameters". In the opened window you can set the size of a cache and parameters of check of updates of pages.
2. The one who uses the Opera browser for setup of a cache should open: "Service" - "General settings" - "Expanded" - "History". Install: a cache in memory – "Automatically", the size of a disk cache – around 50-100 MB, "Never" to check documents and images –.
3. The Mozilla Firefox browser manages a cache automatically therefore it does not need settings. If you after all want to change cache parameters, it is necessary to open: "Tools" - "Settings" - "In addition" - "Network". You can turn off automatic control of a cache and to assign its size at discretion.
4. In the Google Chrome browser the cache is included by default, there are no regular settings for change of its parameters. Nevertheless, there is an opportunity to specify the cache size by editing the label located on a desktop. Click a label with the right mouse button, select "Properties". In the opened window you need the line "Object" - add in its end, after chrome.exe, a flag - disk-cache-size=104857600. Save changes. In this example the size of a cache will be limited to hundred megabytes. The browser should be started by means of a label.
5. It should be noted that not the cache works for all browsers equally effectively. The worst can call IE cache, the best – Opera cache. But even the Opera has no opportunities for its fine tuning. If to you good work of a cache is important, install the free Handy Cache program. It is the caching proxy server: being located on port 8080, it passes through itself(himself) all entering and outbound traffic. The program has very developed settings, with its help you will be able not only to save about 40-60% of traffic, but also fight effectively against advertizing.
