Functioning of the majority of the modern websites is connected with use of several technologies, such as database management systems interpreted or partially compiled programming languages like PHP, graphic libraries. All these technologies are shared under control of the Web server. Before transfer on a hosting any website requires debuggings and testings. Therefore it makes sense to install the Web server on the local computer for a running in of the websites before input them in operation.
It is required to you
- Modern browser. Internet access. The rights of the administrator on the local machine.
Instruction
1. Load the Denwer distribution kit. Open the address http://www.denwer.ru in the browser. Click the button with the inscription ""Download Denver"". Select the version of PHP which will contain in the loaded package. Click ""Download"". On the opened page enter the name and the email address, click ""Receive the Link to Downloading"". Check a mailbox which address was just specified. On it the letter will come with the link for downloading of a distribution kit. Click the link. Loading process of the file will begin. Save the file on the hard drive of the computer.
2. Begin installation of the Web server. Start the loaded installer Denwer-and. In the appeared window with request for installation click ""Yes"". Unpacking of files of a distribution kit will begin. Wait for the end of process of unpacking. Further there will be an automatic start of the console program of installation.
3. Install Denwer. Click the ENTER key. Enter a catalog path in which installation will be made. Click Enter. Enter ""y"". Click Enter two times. Select a letter of a virtual disk on which folder contents with directories of virtual hosts, the usr and bin directories will be displayed. Enter the corresponding letter into a window of the program of installation. Click Enter two times. Wait for the end of copying of files. Select option of creation of a virtual disk (when loading the operating system or at start of servers). Specify whether to create labels for start and a stop of servers on a desktop. Click Enter. The window of the program of installation will be closed. The browser window with short instructions for start of the server and the solution of the arisen technical issues will be open. Look through them. Close the browser.
4. Check operability of the installed Web server. Start the server, using a label on a desktop, or the Run.exe file located in a directory of denwer of the directory in which installation was made. Open the address http://localhost, or the address http://127.0.0.1 in the browser. If in the browser the page with the message about successful installation was displayed, the Web server is installed correctly.
