1. The built-in means of Windows Vista allow to limit uses of the Internet, but for this purpose it is necessary to create at first the additional user account, for example, for the child. For this purpose through the Start menu enter "Control panel", select the section "Accounts", then click on "Creation of the account", call it, but do not grant the administrator rights. The password can be not set, it is necessary only to the administrator.
Then, without logging out of the section "Accounts", come into the subsection "Task of Parents of Management". Select just created user and include "Parental control". Now you can configure the Restrictions of Use of the Internet group where it is possible to prohibit use of the resources defined the Internet and downloading of files.
2. Windows Vista sets the level of protection "Medium" by default, that is average, it means that access to the websites with a pornography, obscene language, information on weapon and drugs will be closed. Depending on your desire, you can toughen or weaken protection. There is a built-in mechanism of tracking activity on the Internet. Thus, it is possible to trace the undesirable websites and to send them to the black list (black list).
If it is necessary to limit access on time, then it is necessary to use the Time Restrictions function. This section contains a peculiar diagram grid where on each day of the week it is possible to put blocking on hours.
3. Having executed all necessary tinctures and having filled block list, click to a knot of OK and all settings will become effective after reset of the computer. Now limited access can be expanded only with a permission of the owner of the administrator rights.
