How to replace a website template

The template is necessary for simplification of work of the webmaster. It contains standard set of file which represents a website basis. Subsequently they can be adjusted, creating thus individual design. Instruction 1. Pick up the necessary template, surely test the demoversion. Keep in mind that not always when changing one theme with another you receive result which was seen on the website. The majority of templates needs to be finished according to requirements of a resource. 2. Download archive, check its contents for availability of files. They should be in the necessary volume. Of course, it is possible to define operability of a template only by practical consideration therefore you should not browse all attachments, just pay attention to the minimum set suitable for the selected CMS. 3. Load files. It can be done via the control panel or the special program allowing to establish connection with the server. 4. Come in the administrator panel and among the list of templates select the installed option. Refresh the page of the website – and you will see how it looks after design change. 5. To replace the Joomla template, adhere to the following algorithm: - pick up a template according to the version of the control panel and download it from such websites as http://joomlashablony.ru/, http://joomla-master.org/, http://www.1joomla.ru/ and others; - come in the administrator panel, proceed in the panel of expansions, click "Installation" and through the Load the File of a Package menu select archive with the necessary template; - click "Load and install"; if files of archive do not contain errors, the message "Will appear installation of a template is successfully complete"; - come into "Expansions" - "The manager of templates" - "Styles"; - in the column "By default" note an asterisk the necessary template. 6. The subject WordPress is installed a little differently. After downloading of archive it needs to be unpacked to any convenient location, and then to load on the server or just to transfer to the necessary folder if the website works at a local host. In the second case save the folder with the files which are contained in archive where themes are stored ("The folder with the website" - Wp-content - Themes). Then come in the administrator panel, proceed in "Appearance" - "Subjects" and activate the necessary option. 7. To download a template to the server, use the special program, for example, of FileZilla (http://filezilla.ru/). An operation algorithm with the application: - open the program; - in the top left menu select "File" - "The manager of the websites"; - if the website is not set, pass into the section "New Website", register the domain, on the right specify a host and port (it is possible to learn from the company in which bought a hosting) in general settings, change input type about "Anonymous" to "Normal", set a user name and the password (are given upon purchase of a hosting); - click "Unite"; - in the right part of the panel select a website root (in a case with Wordpress – public_html), i.e. in the line "Remote Website" there has to be "/public_html"; - find the folder with the necessary subject in the left part of the program (files of your computer are presented here), right-click on it and choose the Download to the Server command; - when process begins, in the bottom of the panel in the Files in a Task tab the number of transfers will be displayed and if for any reasons something was not transferred, it is necessary to put again it in a task and to send. Now it was necessary to come into the panel of the administrator and to activate the loaded subject.
