How to restore a message archive

If you accidentally deleted the history of correspondence or lost access to the software, then it is possible to restore a message archive in several ways. They depend on your program for communication and defined settings of safety.

Instruction

1. Find the file with the backup copy of a message archive on your computer. This document, as a rule, is hidden therefore at first open any window and click "Service" the menu or "Arrange". After that select "Properties and parameters of folders". Click on the View tab and check near the line "Display the Hidden Folders and Files". Click "Apply" and "Ok".

2. Open any window and insert link C into an address bar: / _papk polzovatelya_/AppData/Roaming. Click Enter. Archives of the majority of the programs installed on your computer are by default stored in this folder. If you specified other storage location of data in settings, then pass into it.

3. Find the folder with the necessary application and come into the section devoted to your profile. Depending on the program the message archive can be provided separately on each contact or is broken by dates. Anyway, click the right mouse button the necessary file and click on the Open with the Help point. Select the Notepad or the text editor for viewing the text.

4. Start the Agent of Mail.ru program if for it it is required to restore a message archive. Click the right mouse button contact with which you want to browse correspondence, and select the corresponding item. If it was not succeeded to perform this procedure, then you can restore archive by means of request from e-mail. This function is available not so long ago therefore old messages will not manage to be restored.

5. Install the icq2htm application which allows users of ICQ to restore any remote messages on the computer. For Skype there is also a similar program which is called SkypeLogView. Both applications are very convenient in use and are clear even to those who badly understand computers.
