Baked potatoes – a favourite dish of many. Besides the gustatory qualities, it is appreciated also thanks to dietary properties, roasting, unlike other ways of preparation, allows to keep more vitamins and minerals. Quickly and easily it is possible to bake potatoes in the microwave.

It is required to you

  • several potatoes;
    • glass or plastic ware
    • suitable for use in the microwave.

Instruction

1. Wash up so many potatoes how many you plan to prepare. Slightly dry them a towel, a napkin or just leave for some time that water managed to flow down.

2. Puncture potatoes peel in several places with a fork. It is necessary in order that in the course of preparation there was steam. If to pass this step, the peel will crack.

3. Put the prepared potatoes in the capacity suitable for the microwave oven, and put in the microwave. It is optional to cover capacity.

4. Install the microwave power switch on the maximum value, and the timer – for 4-5 minutes. If several automatic modes are provided in your microwave (for example, "Warming up", "Grill", "Defrosting", etc.), choose the mode, the closest to preparation in an oven. Press the Start button.

5. When the timer signal sounds, open the microwave and carefully turn potatoes. Don't do it barehanded at all – so you risk to get burn. Close a door of the microwave and again install the timer for 3-5 minutes.

6. After a signal of the timer check readiness of potatoes by means of a knife or a fork. As a rule, 10 minutes are quite enough that it пропекся also became soft. If baked potatoes are ready – lower it for a minute in cold water, then it will be easier for you to peel it. If, in your opinion, the dish isn't ready yet, again turn potatoes and put for several minutes in the microwave.
