Whisky – drink noble and expensive. However not a rarity on shelves of shops counterfeit substitutes. The Scottish scientists developed the device for determination of authenticity of drink, but so far it didn't go on free sale, it is possible to define quality of whisky, using simple rules.
Instruction
1. Examine carefully a bottle. On it surely there has to be excise brand. Study attentively the label. If it is crookedly pasted with glue smudges – it has to raise doubts in authenticity of drink at once. The inscription "Whisky of the Scottish Type" demonstrates that before you imitation. Marking of Blended says that before you mix from different grades of whisky, but the inscription "Distilled and Sustained in Scotland" is also not a guarantee of naturalness of drink. Whisky could be quite made of semi-finished products and is diluted with water out of Scotland. Labels with the inscriptions Deluxe and Premium say that before you elite grades of whisky. As a part of the real drink there can't be a methanol, ethanol, other spirit impurity, fragrances, fragrances and food supplements. Obligatory components of whisky: barley, barley malt, corn.
2. Attentively consider color of drink. At natural whisky it varies from light-golden to saturated, dark golden. Substitute imitations often happen brown color, hazy and have a deposit.
3. Having opened a bottle, feel aroma of whisky. It has to be a lung with a malt, oak or sweetish shade, with notes of vanilla, fruit or flowers. Substitute drink, as a rule, gives alcohol. Turn a bottle upside down. Counterfeit drink will flow down on bottle walls and if you bought quality whisky, then from a bottom of a bottle the big drop has to fall.
4. Taste whisky. The real drink soft, it has the balanced taste and leaves behind long aftertaste. Good whisky is made from malt and the best ingredients. It surely passes several steps of filtration that affects taste and leads to a hungover syndrome much less.
