In modern supermarkets, crackers literally for every taste are on sale. However crackers and croutons from shop often contain various artificial additives which don't bring benefit to health. Therefore it is better to dry crackers in house conditions. Houses can be prepared not only usual crackers, but also croutons with different tastes and also a sukharny crumb for a breading.

Crackers can be prepared as from the fresh, and a little hardened white loaf. Cut bread roll on pieces of identical thickness. Then cut each piece on two rectangular halves or on square quarters and lay bread on a baking tray. Put a baking tray in the oven warmed up to 120 degrees. If you like crackers with a crust, but soft inside, keep them in an oven about 15 minutes, then pull out a baking tray, turn crackers on other party and you dry them 10-15 more minutes. If you prefer completely dried up crackers, you dry them within 30 minutes on one party and 20 minutes on another. By the way from well dried up white crackers excellent bread crumbs turn out. It is simple to receive a sukharny crumb: crackers can be pounded a mortar, to rub on a grater, to grind in the meat grinder or to crush in the blender.

That crackers in an oven didn't burn, try to maintain constant temperature in range from 100 to 120 degrees. Of course, drying of crackers will proceed much quicker if temperature is higher. But in this case you watch closely crackers, otherwise they will burn in a few minutes. Nevertheless it is much more convenient to dry crackers at a low temperature: even if you will forget in time them to turn, on such temperature they will hardly quickly burn. It is also possible to dry crackers in the microwave. For this purpose set the mode of high power and put crackers in the microwave oven on two-three of minutes. Then get crackers, turn them and again send to the microwave for a couple of minutes. If after that crackers don't prepare, again turn them and place in the microwave for 2-3 minutes.

Preparation of crackers from black bread is almost similar to preparation of crackers from white loaf. A difference only in preparation time: usually black bread more damp, than white therefore it needs more time for moisture evaporation. In general completely it is possible to dry up black bread in an oven at a temperature of 100-120 degrees within 1 hour (30 minutes from each party). If black bread very damp, at its drying you hold a door of the oven which is a little slightly opened that moisture evaporated quicker.

In house conditions it is possible to make very tasty croutons with taste of chicken, tomatoes, garlic, fennel, etc. For this purpose cut bread (it is desirable rye) small bars. Prepare any of below-mentioned gas stations. Gas station with taste of chicken: part a cube in 0.5 liters of boiled water. Tomato gas station: mix tomato paste with salt and pepper. Garlic gas station: fry the garlic which is passed through a press in several spoons of olive oil. Gas station with taste of fennel: cut small fennel, mix it with olive oil. Smear tomato gas station on croutons with a knife, and gas stations with taste of garlic, fennel or chicken evenly spray on a surface of croutons (it is possible to use a spray/dispenser). After drawing gas station dry croutons in an oven or the microwave.
