How to make mulled wine quickly and simply?

Mulled wine warms and lightens the mood in cold season. This drink is usually cooked in the long autumn and winter evenings from red wine or port wine, spicery and sugar, sometimes add cognac, rum, vodka or liqueur to it.

To make tasty mulled wine, it is necessary to remember several rules. First, in preparation time it is impossible to assume that drink began to boil, it is necessary to heat it a maximum to 70 °C in fire-resistant, but not metal ware. Secondly, for mulled wine choose narrow and high ware that it long didn't cool down.

Christmas mulled wine

For this drink it will be required:

  • 125 ml of liqueur;
  • 750 ml of cahors wine;
  • 1 lemon;
  • carnation and cinnamon to taste.

In the beginning we warm up cahors wine, we remove it from fire and we add a lemon, cinnamon and a carnation, a thin stream we pour in liqueur. We leave for 15 minutes that drink infused, then we spill on glasses.

Orange mulled wine

For preparation of this drink it is required:

  • 200 ml of red port wine;
  • 50 ml of orange liqueur;
  • nutmeg pinch;
  • ½ lemons.

In fire-resistant ware we pour port wine and we put on weak fire, we heat up to 70 °C, we remove from fire, we add to it a carnation and cinnamon, a thin stream we pour in liqueur. We spill ready drink on glasses, before giving we strew with nutmeg.

Scandinavian Glogg drink

This drink can be cooked for Christmas.

  • 5 l of red wine;
  • 120 ml of vodka;
  • 130 g of sugar;
  • 2 sticks of cinnamon;
  • 12 pieces of a carnation;
  • 200 g of almonds;
  • 200 g of raisin;
  • 1 tablespoons of ginger.

We pour out vodka and wine in fire-resistant capacity, we add other products and slowly we heat drink, we watch that all sugar was dissolved. Before boiling we switch off fire, we draw mulled wine of 30 minutes, before giving once again we warm up.

Coffee mulled wine

Fans of coffee and cognac surely will like the mulled wine made according to this recipe.

  • 300 ml of cognac;
  • 5 l of red wine;
  • 300 g of sugar;
  • 600 ml of coffee.

We mix all ingredients in one capacity and we warm up up to 70 °C. We pour a hot beverage in high glasses and at once we give on a table.
