Plums jam with walnut

Plum — one of the few fruit which helps removal of cholesterol and improves digestion. But in cold time practically not to get plum therefore it is possible to stock up with tasty and fragrant jam.

It is required to you

  • 1 kilogram of plums, 10 walnuts, 1 kilograms of sugar, water half of liter.

Instruction

1. Wash out plums under cold water and let's water flow down. Cut plums a little and remove a stone.

2. Shell walnuts and divide into quarters. Put in each plum on a part of walnut.

3. Boil water, add sugar and stir slowly before full dissolution. Boil 2 minutes.

4. Lay out plums in a pan and fill in with a sugar syrup. Put on slow fire and bring to the boil.

5. Switch off fire and let's jam cool down (5-6 hours). Put on slow fire again and boil 5 minutes, stirring slowly. Leave jam till next day.

6. Sterilize banks and metal covers. Bring jam to the boil and hot pour on banks. Roll up covers.

7. Turn banks, put to the dark place and cover with a terry towel. In 2-3 days lower jam in a cellar, the basement or any other cool place.
