Betonokontakt: types and drawing

Betonokontakt is one of the most popular adhesive primers and intends for processing of surface before final finishing. Betonokontakt apply for the purpose of increase in adhesion of surface with plaster and paint and also to processing of concrete and wooden surfaces before laying of ceramic tile.

For what do use betonokontakt?

The purpose of application of the betonokontakt is preparation of smooth layers of surface basis for drawing on them the subsequent finish coats by increase in adhesion of layers. In other words, if there was need for plastering of smooth surface, for laying on it of tile, then it is necessary to prepare this surface in addition.

Various glue and plaster structures have to interact strongly with draft surface, reliably keeping on its basis. For this purpose also adhesive primer, or betonokontakt is created.

After drawing and full drying adhesive primer forms rough film as abrasive paper. There is it at the expense of firm insoluble particles as a part of the betonokontakt. That's it on this "nazhdachka" easily and densely fastens and reliably plaster, glass and ceramic tile, porcelain tile, gispokarton keeps.

Adhesive mix has the properties allowing to get deeply both into concrete and in wooden covers. She qualitatively lays down on glass, plastic and metal, ideally turning smooth surfaces into convenient and rough.

Types of adhesive primers

The most widespread brands of the betonokontakt are the following types of this adhesive soil mix.

  • Differs from other types in fine operating ability. Professionals recommend to apply betonokontakt this firm as basis for any mixes of the same brand: hard putty, plaster, glue. The structure of the betonokontakt of KNAUF has pink color. At all the advantages primer of KNAUF has also shortcomings: long period of drying (till 12 o'clock) and high price.
  • "Gold prospectors". Betonokontakt this brand is also one of the most popular options of adhesive primer. Differs in reasonable prices and low expense: about 250 g on sq.m. The structure of the Gold prospectors betonokontakt is applied to internal works and also used in rooms with the increased humidity. Drying time – till 3 o'clock.
  • "ST Ceresit 19". One more popular type of the betonokontakt which main advantage is the possibility of use both for internal, and for external works. Its other properties almost do not differ from properties of above-mentioned types.
  • This look is the most budgetary decision and does not concede in quality to the expensive analogs at all. It can be used both for internal, and for external works. Expense from 250 g to 500 g on sq.m.
  • "TSK Decor". It is acrylic (polymeric) prime coating. This mix is considered eco-friendly and safe. It is applied both to external, and to internal works. The walls and ceilings processed by it continue "to breathe" as the air current is not blocked, and the microclimate indoors is not broken at all. Polymeric adhesive soil is designed to protect the processed room from mold and fungus, and the finishing put after processing with mix of this look for a long time keeps the original form.
  • "Osnovit bettokont". It is the quite good option having number of specific features. First, it maintains freezing without prejudice to quality (transfers frosts defrosting to 5 cycles). Secondly, dries in 1.5-2 hours. Thirdly, has the raised expense: from 450 g to 500 g.

Preparation of the betonokontakt for use

Before drawing adhesive primer has to be correctly prepared. The main nuances of it are that.

  • It is necessary to read attentively enclosed instruction. In it it will be stated, how exactly it is necessary to apply this structure.
  • Then it is necessary to open packing and to mix structure. All it is made by means of the electric tool easier (for example, by means of the screw driver with nozzle nimbus). In storage time of structure in shop, filler accumulates on warehouse on bottom therefore manually to distribute it evenly on all volume it will hardly turn out. It should be noted that hashing repeats everyone quarter of hour as filler continuously accumulates on bottom.

Drawing betonokontakt for surface

When putting adhesive primer on surface by all means it is necessary to meet number of important conditions.

  • Will be most true to perform work on drawing the betonokontakt for once that the surface basis has been evenly processed.
  • Some types of the betonokontakt should be put with the roller and brush, but there are also those which are put only by means of brush. Many professionals consider that brush – the best means of drawing the betonokontakt.
  • It is necessary to consider that mix has to close surface evenly. Any surplus or smudges are unacceptable. Especially carefully it is controlled during floor primer.
  • After drawing the betonokontakt the surface has to dry out fully. Drying term as it has been told above, depends on type of mix and is specified on packing. Before this term it is not recommended to begin the subsequent works.

What to do with unused mix?

The remains of structure should be stored in densely closed container. Practice shows: adhesive primers are capable to keep the optimum consistence suitable for use of structure, up to several months.

It is recommended to store this mix in usual house conditions. If mix is stored in garages or utility rooms, then temperature in these rooms has to be above-zero.

After long storage betonokontakt inevitably stiffens. The stiffened structure should be thrown out. It is not necessary to dilute with water and other liquids it – it will bring nothing good.

The interesting facts about betonokontakta

  • It is curious that roofing materials (in particular, professional flooring and slate) after their careful and correct processing betonokontakty will serve not less than 40 more years.
  • Professionals unanimously say: if someone has used betonokontakty once, then to refuse its subsequent application at construction and repair it will not be able any more.
