1. Excellent means for giving of whiteness to the washed linen – blueing. The best blue is ultramarine. Tie powder of ultramarine in handkerchief or any piece of leaky matter and lower in water which will get bluish shade. Lower linen in blue solution, then take, wring out and dry.
2. There is large amount of powders which advertizing promises bleaching of linen. But most often only optical whitening agents are part of laundry detergents. Such substances absorb rays of light and reflect them in blue and violet range, giving to linen optical effect of whiteness. But such means cannot remove spots and gross contaminations, for this purpose it is necessary to use special medicines.
3. You can buy ready bleach, at the same time attentive read application instructions and strictly observe all recommendations. Increase in dose of means can lead to fabric damage. At first dissolve necessary amount of bleach in water, and only then put linen in the container with this solution. Particles of undiluted bleach, getting on fabric, can burn it.
4. Hydrogen peroxide which 3-ny solution is on sale in any pharmacy has the good bleaching properties. It is necessary to bleach linen in the enameled or aluminum ware. On 5 liters of water take 2 tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide, heat solution till 60-80 ° and lower the washed linen there for 15-20 minutes. In such a way cotton and linen fabrics are well bleached. For uniform bleaching carefully mix linen. If you want to achieve bigger effect, add ammonia solution tablespoon to solution.
5. Woolen and silk things can also be bleached, using hydrogen peroxide and ammonia solution. At the same time for preparation of the bleaching solution on 5 liters of water it is also necessary to add 2 tablespoons of peroxide and 1 tablespoon of ammonia solution, however water temperature should not exceed 30-35 °. After the procedure of bleaching, wash out things in warm, and then in cold water.
