The choice of laser level depends on the necessary range, accuracy and its purpose – for external or internal works, for check of the floor or walls which is forming lines or setting axes with the compensator or without it.

1. Choosing laser level it is necessary to pay attention to error of creation of the planes. But sometimes the high accuracy of the device is reached due to reduction of number of functions. Laser levels with the self-balancing potentiometer of standard types have the accuracy of 0.2 mm by 1 m, and models with the electronic system of compensation – 0.1 mm by 1 m.
2. Stationary or position levels with use of the receiver have work range on the street of 50 - 70 m, in room 20 – 30 m, and the laser sector makes 110 degrees.
3. For external works it is better to choose laser level of rotational type with the rotating element which forms the closed line. Range of such level with the receiver is 300 m – 1 km, accuracy not less than 10 mm by 100 m, and at expensive models to 3 mm by 100 m.
4. The devices creating projection of the planes with two prisms which build the crossed horizontal and vertical lines will be suitable for internal works simple, popular today. For more complex internal works it is possible to use multilasers – levels with several prisms. With such one switched-on laser several people can perform works at once.
5. It is impossible to choose laser level only on the basis of technical characteristics, also the device design is important. Inexpensive models have the plastic body, they have no mechanism of operational development and metal emphasis, buttons are not protected from moisture and dust therefore such models are not intended for the street.
6. More professionally executed levels are necessary for street works with use of the receiver of radiation: with the body manufactured of high-strength industrial plastic with availability of the mechanism of operational development, with the buttons protected from moisture and dust, with racks and metal base.
7. Besides, you should not buy the device in the doubtful place, it is better to choose laser level of the known brand in shop having good reputation and responsible for the goods.
