1. Decide on type of power voltage which you will use for welding. The inverters calculated on 220B can be turned on in standard household network. Devices in which tension 380B is used significantly more powerfully, but demand the corresponding power supply network.
2. Consider thickness of metal which you will weld when choosing the welding inverter. Depends on this characteristic both value of welding current, and electrode thickness. Use for the choice of the table of standard parameters where the metal thickness, the recommended values of working current and diameter of electrodes are considered. Such tables can be found in the reference media or in the shops trading in welding machines.
3. Specify what duration of turning on of the inverter. This indicator, basic for the welding machine, is expressed in the percentage of continuous operation of the inverter by the general operating time of the device. High rates reduce the probability of overheating of the device at high currents and testify to the good efficiency of the inverter.
4. Pay attention to the power of the welding inverter. More powerful device will serve longer and will allow to weld products of the considerable sizes. If you are not limited in means, try to buy the inverter with stock on power.
5. Estimate set of additional user functions of the welding device inverter. Forcing of arch is applied to simplification of welding when performing vertical joint. The most modern devices have function of shutdown of current when sticking electrode. The additional function "hot start" consists in pulse increase in welding current at contact with product electrode that creates conditions for easier emergence of arch.
6. Specify at the seller what warranty period of service of the device and also whether there is in your region service center to which it is possible to address in case of failures of the inverter. Solid producers guarantee correct operation of the equipment for two years and more.
