After long operation of heating devices, heat exchangers, as a rule, get littered. On their surface appear scum, deposits of salts and elements of corrosion, also between plates gather particles of various slime. Because of all this the operability of the heat-exchanging equipment worsens and the resource of duration of its operation decreases.

1. Service of plate heat exchangers and their cleaning from scum and pollution – the procedure the necessary and demanding regularities. Depending on intensity and the mode of work and Wednesday in which heat exchangers work it is recommended to make folding chemical cleaning every two years.
2. There are two types of cleaning of heat exchangers: without sorting the unit (dry cleaning) and with dismantling of the equipment. In each technique there are shortcomings and advantages. Influence the choice of way of cleaning both extent of pollution, and heat exchanger design. For example, for welded and semi-welded cleaning only with in-place way is possible. Folding heat exchangers can be cleaned in any way, depending on extent of their pollution.
3. Before any cleaning it is necessary to hold the diagnostic events including collecting data on parameters of the working equipment and comparison of these received measurements with rated (reduction of coefficient of heat emission by 30-35%). Also analyses of environments in which the heat exchanger works undertake. Proceeding from these calculations and measurements the conclusion about need of cleaning and the choice of way of cleaning is drawn. In case of insignificant pollution the way of in-place chemical cleaning of the heat exchanger (in-place cleaning is also carried out for the purpose of prevention) is most effective and if the zashlakovannost is recognized as considerable, then it is necessary to make folding cleaning.
4. Special chemical medicines most of which effectively dissolve scum and organic deposits are necessary for in-place washing of the heat exchanger. 5. After completion of works on cleaning it is necessary to neutralize residues of reagent and to wash heat exchanger loops with clear water. 6. Folding chemical cleaning of heat exchangers is made as follows. At first plates are taken from the heat exchanger and are located in the special tank filled with reagent. After completion of the procedure of cleaning of plate are washed with water and are established on the old place, in the heat-exchanging unit. At this way of cleaning it is recommended to replace sealants.
