Fence – important element of protection. At its construction, it will be necessary to define what support at it. Its reliability and longevity depends on it. Columns can be wooden, metal or concrete. Having made choice, get to work.

1. Begin installation of columns for fence with marking of the protected territory. Make it by means of cord. Correctly calculate quantity of columns, cross-pieces and cloths.
2. Hammer pegs in installation sites of columns. Double-check correctness of the planned line. Pegs have to stand strictly on marking step. The curve fence will not be strong.
3. Plan column height. It has to be above the fence on several centimeters. Considering underground part, saw off superfluous.
4. Define the place for gate or gate. By means of special drill make openings in soil for columns. With height of column of 1.2 m – dig hole of 45 cm in depth. For higher columns – 60 cm. Make hole wider than diameter of column. The opening has to be lower than frost depth.
5. In addition remove layer of earth (15 cm). Fill up the basis with gravel. Underground waters will go down, without making negative impact on the column basis. The pillow from gravel performs function of drainage.
6. If your fence has wooden columns, then process the lower part bitumen. It will protect wood from rotting. And reinforced concrete cover columns from metal with bitumen too.
7. Further establish columns in openings. Column driving depth – 1/3 of its lengths. Fix the first and last columns. They have to be strongly recorded in the earth and have strictly vertical position.
8. In hole around column fill gravel and stamp it. Trowel lay out solution around column. At the basis create cone that rain water flew down.
9. On the tense cord you will expose intermediate columns, using wooden wedges. Insert them between column and edge of opening.
10. Check installation of columns on height. If necessary lower them, having deepened hole, or podsypta soil.
