As a rule, it serves for storage of the various economic equipment and stock. Well equipped basement will allow you to store all winter vegetables, fruit and various preserved foods.

Instruction
1. Begin indoor equipment of the basement with installation of inclined ladder from two bearing boards. The ladder can be from one or two marches. Attach one board of stair flight to side wall of the basement, another will lean on concrete or wooden column. Attach to step boards between which distance has to be 20 cm. To ladder attach handrail. For ventilation equip the basement with small window or ventilation pipe.
2. Near wall in the basement make special rack of boards. Do distance between regiments depending on the sizes of tanks in which products are stored. Use upper part of rack for storage of different economic things – bicycles, the sledge.
3. Under rack equip places where will be stored potatoes, beet carrots and other vegetables. For convenient use, install boxes on carts that they could be put forward and pushed freely into place. Choose the capacity of boxes depending on the area of your basement. Optimum sizes: height – 80 cm, length – 1.2 m, width – 90 cm.
4. For storage of cabbage and onions use suspended bars. Attach them to ceiling by means of metal holders. To bars suspend rings from wire on which cling grids with onions or cabbage. In hover they remain better.
5. Make glacier in the basement. For this purpose take wooden box. In the middle install metal tank. In the bottom of tank make opening for free running off of water from ice thawing. Fill intervals between walls of box and tank with mineral wool or sawdust. In walls of metal tank lay pieces of ice, and from above cover with polyethylene film.
6. You keep economic stock in wall storerooms which fix on wooden board. For convenience if there is free space indoors, put small table. Your basement has to have good lighting. You keep your basement clean, remove the spoiled products in time.
7. For withdrawal of underground waters drill in the middle in floor brown opening with a diameter of 50 mm. Fill up it with beaten brick or gravel. From above cover with small grid. Strengthen grid at the edges cement slurry.
