Ideal time for construction – spring and summer. At this particular time year it is possible to achieve excellent results in construction, in particular in its such processes as underpouring. However construction cannot sometimes suffer till spring and it is necessary to perform concrete work in cold season. How it is correct to fill in concrete in the winter?
- - the area which is cleared away from snow around the base;
- - hot water;
- - industrial wire heater;
- - frost-resistant additives for concrete;
- - ingredients for concrete cultivation.
1. Before mixing of concrete mix warm its components: gravel, crushed stone and other, large ingredients by means of boiled hot water, without including fine substances in warming up process.
2. It is necessary to take ready concrete mix with the smallest heat waste to the site therefore you transport it in the capacity warmed initially or by means of the oven or special exhaust gas. In addition, do not forget to cover mix with tarpaulin.
3. On arrival to the place of underpouring, attentively examine the base: whether there is no snow on it or close. Clear away from snow all area around the base and the place where you will fill in concrete, also check design for availability of ice crusts.
4. Before directly the underpouring add to ready cement mix the special additives increasing frost resistance of concrete, strengthening cement and promoting fast hardening of consistence.
5. Fill in ready cement mix in the prepared trays, distribute exactly on all surface.
6. Keep temperature, necessary for concrete hardening, in opposite case concrete can become covered by the lumps formed as a result of adhesion of some ingredients. Evenly it is possible to warm up design by means of the industrial wire heater, heating coils stretch on all area of design and provide uniform warming up when hardening mix.
