In this list there are also microscopic seaweed. They breed under certain conditions and in large number. The fact is that they strongly spoil exterior of aquarium and change the habitat in it.

1. It is possible to observe often on aquarium glasses green raid of seaweed. Usually it is harmless if reproduction has not happened too strongly. For its removal just it is necessary to execute purification of glass of aquarium by means of scraper. If it is necessary to destroy surplus of seaweed, then it is enough to let in aquarium of the fishes eating them. Also you can temporarily darken aquarium or make too bright artificial lighting.
2. If there are brown seaweed, then it is sign that there is not enough light. They usually appear in winter time when artificial lighting is not enough. In the spring they in itself disappear. For fight against such seaweed it is possible to use scraper. It is necessary to make cleaning few times in week.
3. If in your aquarium there was invasion of seaweed, then it is natural result of bad conditions. For a start it is necessary to pay attention to water. Reproduction usually happens in dirty old water which contains a lot of organic chemistry, nitrogen, phosphoric compounds, vitamins and microelements. Rapid growth of seaweed can break gas exchange of reservoir. Also there will be water blossoming. As a result many plants can die.
4. To fight with them, for a start it is necessary to optimize the habitat, to remove the struck plants, to install filters which have biological fillers. It is necessary to provide the round-the-clock aeration in aquarium. As a last resort, it is possible to apply special chemical medicines. They are on sale practically in each pet-shop.
5. If there is excessive reproduction of brown seaweed, then it will be obligatory to be formed characteristic slizky raid on surface of leaves and stones. There are cases when these seaweed completely tighten aquarium bottom. For fight it is possible to use antibiotic erythromycin.
