What amateur gardener does not want to put and grow up tree independently? It is not about simple pine or birch, and about the real fruit tree which till fall will please its owner with juicy and appetizing fruits. When choosing saplings of the fructifying breeds of trees your weather conditions should pay primary attention to grade and compliance it.

1. Begin works on cultivation of fruit-trees with the choice and purchase of saplings. When choosing give preference to the farms and small private nurseries implementing saplings to gardeners. The fact is that in economy, small by the size, it is simpler to grow up qualitative planting stock.
2. Buy saplings whenever possible in the fall. It allows to evaluate goods comprehensively and even to touch its leaflets. It is desirable to choose saplings with the yellow or red leaflets already ready to fall down. Such trees have completed vegetation process, wood has ripened and is ready to transfer winter.
3. When choosing saplings stop on those samples which have height of 50-100 cm, thickness about pencil. The root system has to be sufficiently developed. If you buy apricot or pear, pay special attention to root which has to be direct, thick, without strong branchings.
4. Wet the bought sapling for day in water. If the soil has already frozen slightly, hide saplings to the basement and if the earth is ready to planting of trees, plant sapling on the place prepared for it. Happens that saplings before sale process clay mortar for the best safety; surely wash away it before landing.
5. Make landing hole such sizes that in it the root system freely was located. As a rule, plum or apple-tree on fertile soil do not go beyond landing hole. Having placed sapling in hole, fill it with the earth and properly spill water. It is not required to introduce humus or any fertilizers at this stage.
6. To increase fertility of the sandy or stony soil, provide planting of flowers, vegetables, wild strawberry in row-spacings.
7. At autumn landing hammer around sapling four pegs at half a meter distance from tree. At the onset of cold weather fit pegs burlap and fill up sapling with sawdust. In the spring when begins to warm the sun, remove such warming.
8. You do not seek to cut branches or roots of tree on the first year. Process the sheet device on spring growth factors and feed up sapling mineral fertilizer. To form fruit-tree and fully begin to feed up only for the second year after landing. There will pass several years, and you will be able to enjoy the first fruits which are grown up by the work.
