The blossoming orchid is fine and mysterious. It fixes eye, without leaving anybody indifferent. Many flower growers at the sight of flower have desire to have this miracle at itself on windowsill. However rumors about capriciousness of orchid make think on the opportunities. If you not from timid, have sufficient patience, then before being engaged in cultivation of orchid, it is necessary to study the theory.

1. Choosing ways of cultivation of plant, always stop on traditional. As the soil for orchid use substrate which can be bought in shop. If it was not succeeded to find ready mix, prepare it independently. For this purpose take bark of dead tree, it is the best of all from pine, and crush. At the same time 3 types of fraction of 2, 5 and 10 mm in size have to turn out. Before use throw bark into boiled water and leave. In couple of days boil mix and drain water.
2. On ware bottom for landing of flower put granite crumb or other drainage. Lower orchid in pot, spreading damp bark, begin with the biggest fraction and finish small. There you can add peat dust, wood charcoal and sand. Humidify plant after landing, put pot to the dark place. In 3 weeks when the flower takes root, establish it on windowsill.
3. Observance of the mode of watering is very important for orchids. They categorically do not take out stagnation of moisture. Conditions of watering depend on kind of plant. So dendrobium, kattle and onitsidium humidify after full drying of soil. And to tsimbidium, phalaenopsis and odnotoglossum do not allow to dry completely.
4. The watering mode in many respects depends on the size of pot, the atmosphere and lighting in the room. But it is better to pour in too little, than to pour. Moistening of soil is done in 2 ways: - water from shower with warm water until substrate completely does not get wet; - fill big capacity with warm water and install in it pot with orchid for about ten minutes. In conclusion of watering allow water to flow down from pot and only then put into place. The phase of blossoming has to be followed by abundant watering, and dormant period – reduction of intensity of moistening.
5. For orchids night time temperatures in the range 13-24oc and day – 18-27oc are considered as ideal. It is very important to observe the difference of daily temperatures. Sometimes they are just taken out for the night to other room where is more cool. For orchids the air humidity of 60-80 percent is considered optimum. To provide such mode, it is enough to get humidifier for rooms.
