The book rack is very convenient for placement of big library or modest, but favourite meeting of books and magazines. It is compact, does not occupy scarce space and successfully fits into any interior – from modernist style to hi-tech. The good rack can be bought in furniture store or to order in workshop. However the person owning elementary skills on production of furniture is quite capable to make beautiful and reliable rack independently.
It is required to you

- - CHIPBOARD;
- - self-tapping screws;
- - milling cutter;
- - drill;
- - small nails;
- - mordant;
- - furniture loops for fastening;
- - paint.
Instruction
1. The simplest and available option is to make open rack of tree. Superficial racks under ceiling are most practical – easy to strengthen them, besides such furniture will visually increase the room. Prepare the plywood and chipboard laminated under tree. It is possible to manage and normal boards - then the ready rack should be processed mordant and varnish or to paint.
2. Make necessary measurements. Measure by tape measure height from floor to ceiling, width of future rack and its depth. Depth has to be couple centimeters wider than the size of the standard book. It is more convenient if volumes stand in one row – so you will easily find the necessary volume.
3. Collect the basis of future rack. Boards about 4 centimeters thick you fix on self-tapping screws, strengthening corners additional rather narrow levels. Make vertical sidewalls of plywood and milling cutter cut grooves under regiments. If you want the cabinet densely to adjoin to wall, in the lower part of rack it is necessary to cut bevels under the necessary corner.
4. Measure the necessary size of shelves on plywood and cut off leaf according to measurements. Insert the turned-out regiments into grooves and fasten them self-tapping screws. Do not leave the shelf to lie freely – under weight of books they can collapse.
5. The basis is produced by the shelf size. For bigger reliability of design cut out back wall from thin plywood and beat it small nails on rack perimeter.
6. The finished product can be decorated laminated under tree of chipboard. That finishing plates kept reliably, attach plywood pads on rack sides. Over them strengthen chipboard. In the same way it is possible to decorate regiments. Decorate upper part and the basis of rack with the decorative plinth which is cut out from plate. Cover parts from plywood with two layers of the mordant suitable on color laminate.
7. Instead of dressing of chipboard the new furniture can be covered with mordant and two varnish coats. Very beautifully also the rack painted with acrylic looks – modern paints give the chance of imitation of various surfaces. The bright cabinet will perfectly fit into fashionable minimalistic interior. For bigger reliability the rack can be attached to wall. Buy loops and strengthen them in upper part of product.
