How to make foundation blocks

And still it is in certain cases reasonable to carry out the base from separate blocks. For example, having cast blocks beforehand in winter time, it is possible to reduce considerably time of construction of the base in the spring or in the summer – during time when time price for builders is especially high.

  • – gravel;
  • – sand;
  • – construction, metalwork and carpenter's tool;
  • – eaves board;
  • – steel sheet 1-1.5 mm thick;
  • – mm Ø12 bar.

Instruction

1. Choose the suitable sizes of foundation blocks. The plants of concrete products release blocks of standard dimensions. However not to perform excess work on adjustment, it is reasonable to make them such sizes which will precisely fit into parameters of the specific base. It is necessary to take into account and that how many blocks will weigh. It is reasonable to make them such that at their laying it was not necessary to involve the special load-lifting equipment.

2. Make folding timbering for filling of blocks. For this purpose take two eaves boards which width is equal to block height, and length – is 200 mm more than its length. Prostrugayte also paint with moisture resistant paint any of their parties. At a distance of 10 cm from edge of boards on the internal (painted) party make hacksaw two cross has spent on drink 5-8 mm in depth. The distance between pro-saws has to be equal to block length. Between pro-saws and edges of boards on their center drill openings with a diameter of 13-14 mm. Through them couplers for fastening of timbering will be passed.

3. Cut out two rectangular pieces which one party is equal to width of boards (block height) from steel sheet 1-1.5 mm thick, another – is 10-15 mm more than block width. These sheets will play role of face walls of timbering.

4. Cut off two iron rods with a diameter of 12 mm and at 80-100 mm long more, than block width. Cut on both sides of bar M12 thread on depth of 20 mm. These bars (pins) will pull together two sidewalls of timbering.

5. Collect timbering out of the blue, previously having laid on it polyethylene film. For this purpose pass pins throughout openings of boards, insert between boards at their edges (around pins) two wooden pro-rates length equal to width of the block and tighten nuts on both sides of timbering. Insert the prepared metal sheets (face walls) into pro-saws. As a result the simple folding form for production of foundation block has to turn out.

6. Blocks of production production have groove at face. At its filling with solution the big durability of connection of the next blocks is reached. To receive similar groove in the self-made block, establish wood or metal inserts of the corresponding form from within face walls of timbering.

7. Prepare concrete solution in the ratio 1:2:4 or 1:3:5 (cement: sand: gravel). Before adding water, carefully mix all components. Add water gradually, watching that the surplus was not formed it. The more strictly mix (is less mobile), the stronger concrete turns out. However it must be kept in mind that the harsh mix demands very high-quality tamper.

8. Lay the prepared solution in timbering and well stamp it. Give it time to grab within 1-2 days and remove timbering. During hardening do not allow drying of blocks, water them and cover with polyethylene film.
