How to melt paraffin

Paraffin is widely applied in life, medicine and cosmetology. Such properties of paraffin as low melting temperature and high thermal capacity, allow to carry out with it different types of treatment, warmings up and also to look after skin. Normal paraffin, as a rule, is in firm phase therefore before use substance is required to be melted.

It is required to you

  • - paraffin;
  • - water;
  • - two metal tanks;
  • - electric (gas) stove.

Instruction

1. Prepare two metal tanks of the suitable size. It can be metal pans or bowls of different volume. Pick up the sizes of tanks so that one of them freely entered another. Edges of smaller capacity or the handle of small pan have to lie on circle of capacity of the bigger size, the bottoms should not adjoin.

2. Fill in in big capacity approximately on one third of water. From above install pan of smaller volume. Modify height of water so that the bottom of the top capacity has been a little submerged in water. Now it is possible to take the top ware for a while.

3. Place the container with water on hot electric or gas-fire and cover it with cover. Establish the maximum power of torch to bring water to boiling.

4. On the sheet of paper or on the old newspaper crush pieces of paraffin - so they will quicker melt. Place them in the smaller capacity that substance occupied no more its half.

5. Uncover kastrbla in which water has already begun to boil. Place in it the container with paraffin. Adjust the power of torch or ring a little to reduce intensity of boiling of water. Close paraffin cover.

6. Wait when paraffin melts, having turned into liquid weight. If in it there is need, add still portion of paraffin, having brought its quantity to the required level. After final melting of substance disconnect plate and remove from it both containers.

7. Use the prepared paraffin for designated purpose. At treatment of the melted paraffin be careful not to get burns.
