At repair of upholstered furniture rather often it is necessary to deal with artificial materials, for example, foam rubber. Foam rubber well gives in to processing, is not bad cut, it is practical and universal. There are some features of tipping of foam rubber to various surfaces (fabrics, leather, etc.). For high-quality compound of foam rubber with other materials it is important to observe the correct technology of pasting.

- - Slow motion-100 glue, BF-6, "88", "88-N";
- - iron;
- - clean rag.
Instruction
1. For tipping of foam rubber use contact adhesives on neoprene, polyurethane or butadiene-styrene basis. Such types of the gluing structures initially were applied in woodworking and the shoe industry, and then have found broad application in production of upholstered furniture.
2. Pay attention that more modern, though not the cheapest structures for gluing of foam rubber have nonflammable basis. Also vodnodispersionny glues which are almost harmless to the person and the environment are applied.
3. One of the special glues used at production of upholstered furniture and tipping of foam parts is the structure "Slow motion-100". In this structure there are no combustible solvents therefore it is fireproof. Use this glue if the main criterion of finished product for you is the soft glue joint.
4. Prepare the connected parts and apply glue on the surfaces which are subject to pasting by means of special spraying gun. The second way of putting glue assumes use of soft brush or rollers, but at the same time the glue consumption increases. At double-sided causing glue structure the optimum expense makes no more than 70 g/sq.m. Time of open endurance of the applied glue fluctuates from 20 to 45 minutes.
5. Applying Slow motion-100 glue, keep in mind that it provides very fast contact skhvatyvaniye. In several seconds after putting glue the strength connection is provided up to that in attempt to break off product, it is torn not on glue, and on foam rubber. But glue keeps ability to skhvatyvaniye within half an hour after drawing and even more.
6. Use for foam rubber tipping to different types of fabrics also BF-6 glues, "88" and "88-N". At the same time previously slightly moisten foam rubber and fabric with water and grease with BF-6 glue. In a few minutes on the surface of foam rubber and fabric the cling film will appear. Dry up this film on air about 10 minutes until it ceases to stick to dry hands. Then apply the second layer on both surfaces and in 5 minutes connect adherend parts. Iron position of joint the warm iron through slightly moistened fabric.
7. When using the 88 and 88-N brands apply one adhesive layer on the connected surfaces, press parts and iron through dry fabric.
