Plum – one of favourite fruit crops of gardeners. Its grades differ in form of fruits. The extended oval fruits at Hungarians, and spherical – at reine claude. However the planted trees can not fructify or perish. The reason of it often is in the wrong landing of saplings, and plum is very exacting to cultivation conditions.

Instruction
1. Choose for sapling the place on the site. Plum prefers the moisture detaining, well trained soil with pH 6.5-7.2. Does not love plum tree of winds, and in the lowered places the flower kidneys can be injured by frosts. Pick up the warm, rather lit place. It is good if from wind of draining it is protected by wall of the house or fence.
2. Landing of plum is generally carried out in the fall or in the spring (plants with the closed root system can be planted in the summer). Pave the way. Remove long-term weeds and introduce mineral and organic fertilizers. On open places provide landing stakes and if you are going to form trees in fan form, then pull the system of wire.
3. Pick up good planting stock. You remember, it is necessary for the best survival of sapling that it conformed to some requirements: length of roots not less than 30 cm, should not be cancer outgrowths on roots and trunk, without flows in the place of inoculation. Length of shtamb is not less than 60 cm, trunk thickness – 2-2.5 cm.
4. Dig out landing hole of such width and depth that in it the straightened sapling roots were freely placed. For plums there is enough hole of 40х60 cm. Separately put fertile top layer of the earth. In other party take out the lower less fertile soil layer. Arrange drainage at the bottom of hole.
5. Examine plum roots. Cut off the ends all broken, crushed and peeled sharp knife or secateurs. Accurately put sapling on hillock of the prime quality land filled in hole. Gradually pour the earth to roots. Try that the soil woke up between backs and evenly filled all intervals. The tree will take root much worse if between roots there are emptiness.
6. The root neck of tree (place of transition of trunk to roots) should not appear underground. For this purpose put sapling slightly above, than it is necessary. Over time the soil will sink, and the root neck will appear on the place. Tie up plum to stake or to wire. It is abundant water tree.
7. It is necessary to place saplings among, not less than on 3-4 m from each other. You watch that trees had clean pristvolny circles. The earth under saplings can be mulched. If the garden under sodding is planned, then regularly mow grass.
