Grapes – ancient culture which means of reproduction is the shank (chubuk) of grapevine. The sleigh prepares in the summer, and preparation for reproduction of seedling of grapes happens in the fall. The best time for preparation of new planting stock – late fall, since the end of October prior to the beginning of November. Preparation of shanks

Preparation and storage
Bunches of shanks with labels need to be prepared for winter storage that in the winter they have not dried up. And also to disinfect.
At first within day the shanks soak in water, it is better in well or thawed. Then half an hour is disinfected in 3% solution of copper vitriol or intensive-pink solution of manganese. Then they are dried on paper, previously having got wet with towel. Having wrapped shanks in plastic bags, them densely tie. Store shanks usually in dry the basement, cellar or on the warmed loggias. Ideal temperature for storage – 2-4 °C is higher than 0. In storage time the shanks check, at least once a month, regarding emergence of mold or drying. When drying – humidify. At emergence of mold the shanks wash out, wipe, process potassium permanganate solution. Dry and pack for further storage.
Before landing the shanks rub off rags, deleting spots of mold and residues of vitriol. Examine planting stock. On cut the shanks have to have bright green color. Bark is not wrinkled and does not peel off. Then during nebkhodimo to ret them within 12-24 hours. It is better to use water rain or well. As a last resort otstoyanny and filtered.
