Even the most inexperienced motorist knows that water in gasoline tank is harmful to the car and can cause serious malfunctions. For machines with the injector or diesel engine the availability in water tank is inadmissible at all, and therefore it is necessary to get rid of excess liquid hastily.
Instruction
1. Water in small quantities contains in fuel and completely she cannot be moved away from there. Always refuel only quality gasoline, it is better at network gas stations – quality control is exercised there. And at small gas stations there is risk that fuel is diluted.
2. Fill the car more often. When the gasoline tank is filled not completely - air because of what condensate is formed gets to it. Condensate is basic reason of formation of water in gasoline tank.
3. You should not fill the car in days when it is raining or there is fog. If it is necessary, then fill full tank (watch Paragraph first).
4. To remove water from gasoline tank, use alcohol. All oil products with water do not mix up, and here alcohols with water mix up well. So: it is necessary to fuel full tank, to take 300-500 milliliters of the 96th-degree alcohol and to fill in in tank. In 15-20 minutes it is necessary to start the car and to sweep on bumpy roads that alcohol has mixed up with fuel, and then has left fuel system.
5. Do not avoid chemical medicines which offer car shops. These medicines work by the principle of absorption of water which burns down then in the engine together with fuel. Add the additives helping to fight against corrosion to some of such medicines. But for diesel and gasoline engines medicines have to be various.
6. If you have diesel, fill in on 50 liters of diesel fuel of half of liter of lubricating oil which will also mix up with fuel and forms emulsion which has property well to burn. After that it is necessary to try to travel all over all fuel in tank.
