Instruction
1. Before kindling the furnace, clean fire chamber and ashpit from ashes. You will not be able to light coal just like that, at first it is necessary to flood the furnace with firewood. Prepare firewood, cut for kindling to steam of handfuls of spill or break small dry branches.
2. On bottom of fire chamber put couple of crumpled newspaper sheets or any other paper, small branches from above prepared. If there is no paper, lay the thinnest and dry branches on bottom. On them put larger branches and chips, to the very top it is possible to lay branches with a diameter up to five centimeters.
3. Open on flue all valves (it will start up smoke directly in pipe, passing smoke channels in the furnace), then set fire to paper in fire chamber. Slightly slightly open ashpit, having left slot in two-three fingers. When fire in the furnace inflames, enclose a little more firewood.
4. Wait when and the added firewood well burns. Now it is necessary to fill up coal. It can be done in two ways: from above, having removed pig-iron circles (if the furnace cooking), or sideways through door. The first way is more convenient: close ashpit (otherwise the furnace will smoke), poker shift several circles. Pour out in fire approximately coal half-buckets. Return circles into place and again slightly open ashpit.
5. In about twenty minutes add coal again. Close all valves on the furnace, except the biggest, established on pipe – now hot air will go not directly, and via smoke channels, warming up the furnace. Too cover valve on pipe a little. Cover also ashpit, having left slot one and a half-two centimeter wide. Draft door you can regulate extent of burning – if it weak, the ashpit is slightly opened and vice versa.
6. In process of coal burn-out all contents of fire chamber are necessary occasionally, time in several hours, "to cut" with poker. Open door of fire chamber and carry out by poker on the grid-iron plane, cutting the burning coal. The burned-through coal prosypltsya through grid-iron grid, remained will begin to burn better owing to cleaning of grid-iron and air flow from ashpit.
7. Coal it is possible to heat practical any furnaces, including pig-iron "potbelly stoves". At first always kindle the furnace firewood and only then fill up coal.
