As soon as in gardens and kitchen gardens berries begin to ripen, owners have new care – rescue of harvest from birds. This problem is especially important for those gardeners whose sites are near the wood.
It is impossible to forget that insectivorous birds bring huge benefit to your economy, saving it from insects wreckers. Therefore it is impossible to kill birds at all – it is only possible to frighten off for the period of maturing and collecting fruits and berries.
Long since for this purpose garden scarecrows – imitation of human figure were used. Hammer together two sticks at right angle and put on them old clothes. Make the head and similarity of the person of old cap and scrap of sheet. The problem is that birds pretty fast get used to static figure and cease to pay attention to it.
The good frightening-off effect the brilliant rotating objects – for example give, old compact disks, especially double-sided. Suspend them on threads on branches of fruit-trees. On wind they will be shaken and give patches of light – some time of bird will be frightened, will not make sure of their full inoffensiveness yet. Instead of disks it is possible to hang out the fir-tree New Year's "rain" or tags cut from foil. Birds are frightened by the image of eye. Cut out circle from dense cardboard or plywood the size slightly more human face and paint it black color. On both sides paste the circles which are cut out from holographic film representing eyes and mouth. Hang out these "horror stories" in fruit-tree krone. At turn of circle light incidence angle on holographic film changes and, respectively, its color changes. Illusion of live look of which birds are afraid is created. The result will be better if to connect noise and light effects. Cut out circles from old cans and punch in them openings at the edges. String tin circles in the form of necklace on fishing line so that they concerned each other, and hang out on branches of trees or on pegs along beds. The quite good repellant as circles will not only shine will turn out, but also to knock from each other. Cans with nails can be tied to the ends of the stick representing hands of garden scarecrow inside. Banks will rotate on wind, to shine and rattle. The antiquated way of scaring away of birds will become much more effective. If you kept old magnetic tape, pull it along beds with strawberry, having tied to pegs. The long string which under the influence of wind will shine and make the vibrating sound will turn out. It very much will not be pleasant to birds and moles. Scraps of magnetic tape can be tied also to branches of fruit-trees. Very well the small network with cell no more than 20х20 mm protects beds. Throw with it the pegs hammered on corners and surely press edges to the earth, otherwise birds will be able to lick under grid and rob quietly. In the same way it is possible to close low bushes.
