Chair – necessary part of house interior to which we are obliged blessed minutes of our rest. But time inevitably and already in one place the upholstery has grown dull, has become soiled or it is worse than that – was wiped. But you do not hurry to get rid forever of favourite chair, it can be repaired.
It is required to you
- wooden hammer, pincers, knife, scissors, set of special needles and glue gun,
- from materials – woven tape, furniture nails, burlap, twisted cord, lining and vegetable stuffing.
Instruction
1. In the beginning works you delete old upholstery, seat interlacings together with springs, at the same time remember as they have been fixed. You beat new interlacings under chair frame. If at least part of old springs have not lost the elasticity yet, then can use them, and unusable – to replace.
2. As before, you place springs on interlacing and you sew them linen twine four stitches through equal intervals on spring perimeter. Against each extreme spring you drive in to half 16 mm nail into the seat basis.
3. After that poryadno you connect by the prepared pieces of twisted cord among themselves springs (at the rate of the 2nd knot on spring). The end of cord you tie to nail with stock 15 cm. Then you connect by twisted cord the top rounds of each spring special node in two places in each row, and extreme knots have to be tied on the second rounds of extreme springs.
4. The following step – the free end of cord tie around nail and back to the top spring coil. Record spring in the necessary situation and knot. After all springs are connected, can hammer nails up to the end. Thus, cords have to form grid.
5. Correctly connected springs are not too compressed and form slightly convex surface of chair convenient for sitting. Springs are closed by burlap. It is not necessary to pull it strongly. There is enough that it has evenly closed springs and did not form "bubbles". By means of curved needle you sew each spring four stitches to burlap. Before laying of stuffing over burlap it is necessary to make inhalings. After the first stuffing you stitch the roller on edge.
6. The back of chair is upholstered similar to seat. After performance of the second stuffing you close seat consistently muslin, cotton lining and sintepon, covering all with finishing fabric. Fabric around legs and armrests should be cut, turned in and fixed accurately. Registration of seat is recommended to be finished tape or decorative cord which will close nails.
